Improve Guidelines with AI

Why It Matters

Writing effective prompt guidelines is difficult - especially if you're not familiar with prompt engineering best practices. This feature helps turn your existing notes and intentions into polished, high-quality instructions automatically.

What It Does

When editing a built-in LLM property or creating a prompt property, as soon as you've filled in key fields (property name, guidelines, interaction steps), the "Optimize" button becomes clickable.

Click it to open an expansion panel where:

1. Your current content is pre-filled as “Additional Guidelines.”
2. All context (property name, description, categories, examples, steps, etc.) is sent in a single researched-backed LLM call to improve those guidelines to a degree where they'll perform the evaluation task more successfully.
3. You'll see Suggested Guidelines generated by the AI—editable before saving.

How to Finalize

Done: Save the AI-enhanced guidelines - overwrites your prior input.

Cancel: Discard AI suggestions and return to your original draft.

Modify the guidelines again? The Optimize button reactivates, so you can refine further.

Pro Tips

1. More detail = better results: The AI uses all provided context. Include rich description, examples, categories, etc., to get stronger suggestions.
2. The more detailed and specific your original guidelines are, the more accurate and useful the AI-generated suggestions will be for your task.
